His work focuses on developing innovative treatments for childhood brain tumours and translating advances in research into clinical practice. Currently Director of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Professor Zacharoulis began his journey in Larissa, lending particular significance to this recognition by his hometown university.
